When Exhaustion Takes Over

christmas gift core beliefs emotional mastery god thoughts heart wisdom Dec 14, 2023

Have you ever felt so weary that you can hardly even walk, let alone pray?

Know that when this level of exhaustion happens, it is important to be able to distinguish between the voice of the True and Living God, from that of the old religious devil that loves to tell you that, "You're not good enough! You won't make it!" along with a whole bunch of other bad news.

You get to choose.

I would rather you listen to the voice of the True and Living God who is a loving father and who does not judge or condemn. Instead, like a good father, He comes and lovingly picks you up, His child, and holds you close to His chest. He does what you can't do in this moment of exhaustion. He brings you to a place of safety and rest.

It doesn't matter if you are overwhelmed, weary, and discouraged, make sure not to agree with the father of lies. He will only get you to judge and condemn yourself mercilessly...

Over...

And Over...

AND OVER AGAIN!

Make a choice instead to give yourself a break and learn to love yourself instead.

Then, with God, let your heart do the talking when your voice is so tired that it can't even pray anymore.

God hears and wants to show Himself faithful.

How do I know?

Because that was my experience a long time ago when I was so physically exhausted I could no longer perform for His love.

Instead, His love came down and not only engulfed me, but touched my heart in a profound way.

He gave it all, when I couldn't give Him anything, but my weariness, sorrow and confusion.

So, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God isn't judging you.

Instead of believing the voice of shame and condemnation, how about making a choice to let the lies go, and give God's truth room to come in and heal your life.

Start by singing the childhood song that says "Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so."

Simple, yet profound.

JESUS - LOVES - ME!

Ask if these words have any conditions attached to it?

Then based on your answer , let me encourage you this Christmas season to give yourself a gift. The gift of UNCONDITIONAL love and acceptance, and quit being so hard on yourself.

Make the choice to see yourself through HIS eyes and not your own.

And when you do that, know that His gift in return will be a peace that passes all understanding, guarding your heart and your mind.

Weariness will begin to lift off, even if things don't change.

And joy will come back into your heart despite your circumstances.
