Overthinking? Anxiety is Rising
Oct 08, 2025
This is the final article in a series of three on learning to take control of your thinking process.
With the first two, you learned that overthinking slows down your brain and stalls out your thinking process.
But, did you know that overthinking, even though it can appear to be a logical choice, neurologically it only serves to INCREASE your ANXIETY?
This is because it creates a lot of stress in your brain, particularly in areas linked to worry and decision-making.
Instead of moving forward, you get trapped in endless analyzing of options...WITHOUT ANY ACTION.
This constant second-guessing can feel overwhelming and even paralyzing, causing anxiety to kick in.
When anxiety kicks in, it reinforces the desire to over analyze the problem, because it's something familiar to grab on to.
The good news is that change is possible and it's not hard to learn how to take back the controls!
Learn to manage these thoughts and you can regain control plus reduce anxiety!
A couple of simple tools to get you started ...
1). Make a choice to not over analyze.
2). Take immediate action.
If you want to do a deeper dive, and you're ready to break this cycle so you can live a more peaceful, effective life, let's work together!
