Overanalyzing: A Hidden Trap
Oct 03, 2025
Last week was the first of a series of three. In it you learned that over thinking is not helpful and only keeps you stuck.
In today's segment we look at the wrong belief that BY OVERANALYZING, YOU CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM FASTER.
Actually, the opposite is true.
When we overanalyze situations, our brain can actually slow down in its thinking processes.
This happens because our brain is trying to process too much information at once, which can lead to mental fatigue.
From a neurological perspective, when we focus on every little detail, the prefrontal cortex, responsible for decision-making and thinking, gets overwhelmed.
This overload can make it harder for our brain to connect thoughts or come to conclusions, leaving us feeling stuck or confused.
Instead of helping us make better decisions, overthinking can cloud our judgment and slow down our ability to react or solve problems.
It’s often better to take a step back.
Simplify our thoughts.
And allow our brain to work more efficiently!
